Track usage
Monitor platform usage metrics, including queries and activity, on a per-user basis.
Accessing the usage dashboard

Click your name in the upper-right corner of the screen and select Manage Organization.

Click the Usage tab.
Reviewing usage metrics
The Usage tab displays a heat map of activity over the last 12 months, followed by a detailed table of user actions.
Filter user and usage type
To narrow the results, use the filtering menus:

Select a date range.

Use the two dropdown menus to filter the data to a specific user (or all users) within your organization, or activity type, such as:

UI Queries

API Queries
-
Automated Searches
-
YARA Rules
Activity table
The table below the heat map provides a monthly summary of consumption per user and displays the following columns:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Month | The period being measured. |
| UI Queries | The number of searches performed directly through the Validin interface. |
| API Queries | The number of queries executed programmatically via the Validin API (e.g., through Storm). |
| Automated Searches | Queries executed by scheduled alerts or triggers. |
| YARA Rules | Searches related to YARA rule execution and monitoring. |
| Total | The sum of all query types for that month. |
TipUse the Total metric to identify which users or teams are the highest consumers of your organization's API quota.
