Execute a Live Scan

Use Live Scan to analyze a website in real time from one or more geographic locations.

Live Scans allow users to test the HTTP and HTTPS responses of domains, URLs and URIs, validate configuration changes, and detect both region and platform-specific behavior.

Validin initiates Live Scans from VMs within supported regions that are rotated throughout the day.

📘

Default settings

If you enter only a domain name, scans default to HTTP over port 80.

  1. Under Select Country, choose one or more testing locations:
    • Keep Auto enabled for the most relevant region
    • Or manually select regions such as US, GB, DE, etc.
  2. Choose a User Agent Header:
    • Select a predefined browser from the drop-down menu
    • Or define a custom user-agent string
  3. (Optional) Enter a Referer Header to simulate contextual browsing.
  4. Click Search to begin the scan.

Validin immediately initiates network requests from the chosen regions using the provided settings.

Refine your scans

  • Switch user agents to test UA-based blocking
  • Add or remove countries to isolate geofencing issues
  • Provide a full https:// URL to inspect TLS and HSTS behavior
  • Set a Referer Header to simulate internal navigation
  • Click Start a New Scan to rerun the test with updated inputs.
