View a Project changelog
Learn how to access and navigate a Project's ChangeLog in Validin.
The Project Change Log provides a chronological record of all updates made within a project, including indicator changes, alert configuration updates, shared access events, and scan linkages.
This allows analysts to audit activity, validate collaboration, and track modifications over time.
Automatic auditingThe Change Log does not need to be enabled; it is maintained automatically for every project.
Open the Change Log
- Open the Project you want to review.
- Select Change Log in the top-right to open a timeline-style view showing all recorded updates.
Understanding the Change Log
The Change Log is organized by date. Entries are grouped to help you quickly understand all actions performed on the same day.
Each entry includes:

| Action description | A summary of what changed, such as modified alert settings, added or removed access, or linked scans. |
| Actor | The user who performed the change. |
| Timestamp | When the change occurred. |
| Object reference | The specific indicator or resource affected, when applicable. |
Types of events recorded
Examples of actions captured in the Change Log include:
- Changes to indicator alert settings
- Updates to alert tracking preferences
- New users added to or removed from project sharing
- Permission adjustments for existing users
- Scans linked to a project
- Other project-level configuration changes
